W:Blut 2008

Well, W:Blut is scheduled for a major update. Actually, until yesterday I didn’t even feel like keeping the domain or my hosting account. But then while browsing around I read this blog entry by Robert Hodgin. Completely invigorated I’m up for another round of stream of consciousness programming.

So, why did I got bored with my amateur dabblings. In short, I lost focus. Lately, I’ve been working on the more technical side of Java applets… and grew bored of it. Again and again, I bumped into problems with applets crashing on page reloads or fast browsing between applets. It seemed like everything I wanted to try involved tedious bug-related research and work-arounds.

No more! I’m leaving the well-structured domain of good-practice programming and return to the wild plains of seat-of-the-pants, chaotic coding. To keep focus on the actual creative work, I’m also handing over the site into the ubiquitous but capable hands of WordPress.

So, if you would excuse me, I have some old code to revisit.

Frederik
